The meaning of freedom
Life has its ways of peppering itself with experiences that are indelible and change the course of approach to the final ideal.
Going to Pavgada was one such experience. For many reasons.
Mind:
Working as one wished under the practical but unobtrusive supervision was in itself a luxury. No red tapism to work exclusively in the subject of one’s choice was the dream come true. Learning under the young but stalwart hands of the staff there hasn’t changed me much. It has only steeled my resolve that medicine and its practice isn’t just a profession as it has already become a way of life.
Living and working amidst an entirely different mindset and landscape has enabled me to look at the reflection of ones own strengths and weaknesses in a light and perspective hitherto unknown.
Body:
PHC, Gudibanda AP state. Went there by vehicle. Landscape changes beautifully. Village cattle fair. Hospital normal outside. Inside computer with proficient operator for centralising info.!!
Food in a bus stand, on an elevated stone for a table another lower one for seats. Cat for footrest. Rice unbelievable. Cooked in fresh earthenware. Local veg delicacy flattened us totally. Work unbelievable too. 200 pts seen over 3.5 hours.
Return journey is the stuff of auto legend: tvs victor driven by health worker.
Pillions: giridhar, me. For 32 km without a road.
Climbed the hill in Pavagada. Reached the top so late, that I met friends who were coming down when I was going up. Reached the top shot myself and came back.
Soul:
uplifted among the rarified heights.
Work oriented and thought free.
Completely action oriented. Looking forward to each new day.
